I guess my first dance I ever knew how to do was the worm. This was in 6th grade. Its called “the worm” because one gets on the floor and uses his strength, coordination, and talent to create a wave and movement of the body. It’s an individual dance who does not require a partner. All you really need is some music, an opportunity to do something worth wild and an audience to perform your moves for. Where am I going with this?

When becoming curious as to what my Father did when he was learning to dance in his “hayday”, he told me his move was “the gator”.
Football technique 1 on 1.
Connection established= when I played Southern Oregon in my “hayday” I performed “the gator” on the field against a very talented, very shifty, and very fast wide receiver. I tackled him, rolled him like a gator, and stopped the pursuit of the offense. We won that game and I even picked up a fumble and scored a touchdown that lead to our ability to win the game. We defeated, a NAIA team, a team who offers athletic scholarships to players. This gives them a upper hand in attracting greater talent and greater strength.
How does this relate to the dance of life?
Individual dances contributing to the teams sucess. Willamtte students are very very very smart compared to more academically challenged colleges. Our smarts and our work ethic puts us in contention for going to the championship. We were gifted bodies with natural abilities to learn, train, and compete at high levels because our wisdom, knowledge, and will to compete is strong. We simply take it 1 on 1. or One game after the next, to go, in the hope, of making it from Salem to salem.
Moving on up- West to East.
I’m dancing from the west side and I”m dancing with a team from the far east that I have not quite met yet.
What does this mean for you? If i’m saying anything at all, I’m just trying to unfurl the fact that I have wisdom, experience, and events in my life that connect me and what I do to the mystery that is God or that is creation.
